A non-refundable or transferable deposit of 25% of the total charge will be debited from your credit/debit card on completion of this process. Christmas & New Year bookings a non-refundable or transferable deposit 50% of the total accommodation charge will be debited from you credit/debit card. Once a deposit has been taken you agree to the price of accommodation at time of booking, reductions cannot be made after we have received this deposit.
All rooms are offered subject to them being available on receipt of deposit. All reservations are subject to change upon any maintenance or improvement programs the Pedn Olva deems fit to undertake after your booking has been made. Should this change be made in booking the Pedn Olva will move your booking to same type of room within its premises.
We do advise you to take holiday insurance to cover the cost of your deposit and holiday.
Rooms are subject to availability and the Company reserves the right to refuse any Booking for good reason.
SPECIAL OFFERS & DISCOUNTED BREAKS
All special offers & discounted breaks require full payment at time of booking and this is non-refundable or is non-transferable to any other booking. Any special offer rates cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
We reserve the right to amend or cancel any offer or discounted break without prior notification.
The Pedn Olva will charge the cost of the first nights accommodation or retain your deposit in the event of any guest not arriving for their stay.
The Pedn Olva must be made aware of any cancellations in writing 48 hours before the booking. Failure to do so will result in the cost of the first night being deducted from your card, or your deposit being retained, whichever is the greater amount.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
A valid credit card number will be taken on arrival for security for further charges such as telephone calls, meals, drinks etc. and any outstanding charges must be settled on departure. Failure to settled any outstanding accounts the valid credit card taken on arrival will be debited for any un-settled balances.
Accounts can be settled in CASH, MASTERCARD, VISA, VISA DEBIT or SWITCH card. Regretfully Cheques (personal or company) will not be accepted on departure, and any deposit Cheques must be presented in sufficient time (at least 10 working days) for clearance. Unfortunately we do not accept American Express.
No allowance is made for meals missed or rooms not occupied for the full time of the reservation.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE
Arrival and Departure: Check in is from 3.00pm on day of arrival, but guests are welcome to arrive early (even for breakfast!). On departure day, rooms must be vacated by 11am, and late checkouts will be charged for.
The hotel has limited spaces subject to availability at an extra cost per night. We advise guests to contact the hotel to arrange car parking for your booking if required. The Pedn Olva accepts no responsibility to provide car parking for a guest if a space has not been pre booked and written confirmation received. Your car parking space is available from 12 noon on your day of arrival & must be vacated by 11.30am on your day of departure. Guests are advised that all conditions laid down by Cornwall County Council are met regarding your car parking.
Whilst the hotel brochure or web site is intended to give a fair representation of the facilities available, there may be occasions when certain facilities are out of use. Although every effort will be made to try and ensure that this does not happen, where it is unavoidable, then no liability shall attach to the hotel by reason thereof. If you require further information about any particular facilities or their availability please write well in advance of your holiday so that your queries can be dealt with. The hotel cannot accept responsibility for anything said to you by our staff outside the information given in the brochure, website or tariff unless it is confirmed in writing. All information given in the hotel brochure, web site and tariff is correct at the time of going to press but services, facilities & tariff may be changed during the validity of the brochure.
All valuables should be left in the hotel safe.
The hotel is not responsible for any property lost on the premises.
Guests may bring visitors into the Pedn Olva rooms by prior arrangement with management only. Charges and restrictions apply.
Pedn Olva has a non-smoking policy. Due to legislation smoking will not be permitted in any public area. Smoking is not permitted in any of the hotels’ bedrooms or their balconies. Smoking is permitted on designated areas of our terraces.
Where special arrangements are required, i.e. diet, room location, the hotel must be advised in writing. Whilst every effort will be made to meet these requests, they are not guaranteed and may be chargeable.
The hotel operates the Challenge 25 initiative.
The “Challenge 25″ initiative highlights the fact that “if you are lucky enough to look under 21 you will be asked to prove that you are over 18 when you buy alcohol”. Acceptable forms of proof are: photo card driving license, passport. This applies to all residents and their children.
Due to the popularity of sea view tables in the restaurant unfortunately these cannot be reserved. They are allocated on a first come, first served basis.
We advise all guests to make dinner reservations with us.
Dogs are welcome at the Pedn Olva all year round. We do advise guest to check with Cornwall County Council regarding what time of year & which beaches they are allowed on.
Your canine companions can join you in the bar and the terraces, apart from the swimming pool terrace and there are plenty of dog friendly beaches on the Cornwall coastline.
Dogs can stay in our outside rooms by the swimming pool, unfortunately not in the main hotel rooms. They are charged at £15 per night for the first dog and £10 per night for an additional dog. Guests are only permitted to bring a maximum of two dogs per room subject to size of room available. Beds, food & water bowls are provided however food. Dogs are not to be left unattended in the rooms at any time & the owner’s responsibility to keep them under control at all times.
MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENTS
As the hotel is now open all year round, you may find that there is necessary maintenance, development or refurbishment work taking place during your visit. We will do our best to keep any noise and inconvenience to a minimum.
Please help us to make your stay a happy one: if something goes wrong on your holiday please let us know as soon as possible & before you leave so that we can try to put it right.
